It’s been since Halloween 2020 that we last met. How are you? Have your fortunes improved with the New Year? Or, like many, is the current state of the world still leaving you in constant flux? Positive news one moment and worrisome the next?
I’m not going to tell you that it’s going to get better. I have no magical barometer to say whether the glass is rising or falling. What I can tell you is that I’m right there with you, determined to put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward.
My fibromyalgia went into a flare last Fall, precipitated or at least aggravated by an upper respiratory infection. It wasn’t COVID, thank God for that. But it did mean getting tested for COVID, which meant quarantine, and my job let me go for missing work.
I’m finally feeling well enough to sit down and write again. I wrote a few short books while I was ill, including my first non-fiction foray, and I’m looking forward to sharing some of them with you this year!
There are two new books, in particular, I can’t wait to announce. There is an extra-special personal project I (hopefully!) will be cooking up in the next few months.
Pardon the culinary reference. As a former chef, I love a punchy kitchen reference.
